Adult Volunteer Tutor

Open doors for adults in our community by helping them build their basic skills in reading, writing, math or learning English. No teaching experience necessary! After completing an orientation, you will be matched with a student who meets your availability and teaching interests. Teaching materials and on-going support are provided. Join our amazing group of volunteers and make a difference in your student’s life and in your own!

We are looking for volunteers willing to connect with students online or in person.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Patricia Bedford at pbedford@second-start.org or call (603)228-1341 EXT.4210

Your Path to Graduation Starts Here

At Second Start, we understand that the traditional high school setting isn't the right fit for everyone. Our alternative high school program provides a supportive, flexible environment where students can earn credits, stay on track for graduation, and work toward their future goals.

Whether you're behind on credits, looking for a fresh start, or need a learning environment that better fits your needs, we're here to help. Our dedicated staff works closely with students and their school districts to create a personalized path toward earning a high school diploma.

At Second Start, you'll find:
• Small class sizes and individualized support
• Caring teachers and staff who are invested in your success
• Opportunities to recover credits and stay on track for graduation
• A welcoming environment where every student is valued

Your past does not define your future. With the right support and determination, graduation is within reach. Take the next step and discover how Second Start can help you achieve your goals.
